The first “Bowlarena” was born when Roger Douglas and a few of his Marine Corps buddies wanted a recreational facility of some kind. The group pooled their resources and opened an eight-lane bowling center on LeJeune Blvd. in December , 1955. It was located across from Tarawa Terrace. Mr. Douglas did not re-enlist and got out of the Marine Corps to operate the bowling center, with the help of his wife Rosemary. Due to an electrical fire, the business burned completely to the ground on May, 1960.

Cracked It! Escape Games

Escape Room games are challenges where teams of 2-10 players are placed in a room and have to “escape” the room within a given time limit, usually 60 minutes. The games have a mission, goal or objective that players have to solve by figuring out clues, riddles, puzzles and mysteries.

Escape room games challenge players to take on a role and use their collective wits to defeat a mad scientist, defuse a bomb, or solve mysteries. Escape room themes span the universe of subjects from historical, to science fiction and every subject in between.
